The MBA Programme at SKIBS B SCHOOL is spread across four semesters, covering general subjects in the first year and specialization subjects in the second year. The students will have to choose two areas of specialization (Dual Specialization) in the second year. The advantage of Dual Specialization is that every student has a wider array of career opportunities to choose from as well as the ability to realistically correlate the functions of different departments in an organization.
The MBA Programme at SKIBS B SCHOOL is affiliated to Bengaluru City University and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The course is also recognized by the Government of Karnataka.
Internship
The students are exposed to two projects - an Internship before the start of the third semester and a Research Project (Dissertation in the chosen specialization area) in the fourth semester. Students are asked to submit their profile at the department during their second semester which is then studied by the placement team. The placement team then refers students to internship openings in line with their areas of interest and the internship offerings bring a host of learning as well as financial aid in the form Stipend for the students. This acts as an excellent opportunity for students to have an interface with the Industry and gain valuable work experience before they step into the competitive corporate world.
